Last year, Rado introduced four new ceramic colors to its True Thinline collection. This year, it is bolstering that collection with a new model that features a dazzling green dial. Meet the new Rado True Thinline Quartz Nature watch.The Rado True Thinline Quartz Nature watch is almost entirely made of glossy green ceramic. The monobloc case is ceramic and so is the bracelet. Only the caseback and clasp are made out of titanium. Ceramic also has the benefit of being extremely resistant to scratches as well as being light. And for owners with sensitive skin, ceramic is hypoallergenic too.
As befits its name, the Rado True Thinline Quartz Nature watch is super thin, measuring a scant 5mm thick. Coupled with its modest 39mm diameter, this makes the True Thinline Quartz Nature a slim and svelte piece. This sizing also makes it ideal as a ladies watch, but its possible the design might appeal to men as well-especially those that fall for the organic nature theme of the watch. Water resistance is meager at 30m.The watchs name comes from its dial, which is a bewitching hue of green. Its actually green mother-of-pearl and features leaf patterns that are printed onto its underside. While it isnt visible at all times, the intricate leaf pattern apparently tends to pop in and out of sight depending on how light hits the dial. The hands and hour indexes are gold, and so is the crown. An unusual feature about the watch is that its hour indexes are actually metalized onto the sapphire crystal. This creates the illusion that they are floating above the dial while adding some visual depth to the entire package. Along with the green mother-of-pearl, the end result, from the press photos at least, is a very unique-looking dial.
A noteworthy addition to Rados True Thinline collection, the watch proves that the brand is still focused on releasing models that use interesting materials which result in an eye-catching aesthetic.
